Microblading

If you're looking for something to make your morning routine simpler than applying eyebrow pencil every morning and then worrying that it will last all day this could be your answer.

Microblading is a semi-permanent procedure done on the eyebrows that will give you the ability to have beautiful brows by placing tiny hair like strokes in your brow line.  This procedure is done by placing pigment under the top layer of your skin using a microblading eyebrow pen.  The pigment used is different than a tattoo ink as it less concentrated and used for the microblading process.  This semi-permanent makeup procedure can last anywhere from one to three years.  Touch ups can be done as needed to keep the brow looking at its best as needed through the first couple years.

During your appointment we will go over the look that you are trying to achieve with your brows and your pigment color options that work best to fit your natural color.  I will be mapping your eyebrows so that they are symmetrical to your facial features and this is only your chance to go over any changes you would like made prior to starting the process.  The process can take anywhere from two to three hours on your initial visit and you will need to come back four to six weeks after the procedure for any touch ups needed after the healing process is complete.

Microblading results will depend a lot on the aftercare process, how your body absorbs the pigment into the skin and by making sure you follow up with your four to six weeks touch up.

Ombre

While microblading provides the eyebrow with small hair strokes there is also another alternative that is becoming very popular called ombre.  Ombre shading allows the client to have a soft shaded look or you can go with a bold look on your eyebrows.  Ombre tends to give the client a more natural look once healed, and the pigment color doesn’t tend to lighten as much as when only using the microblading technique.  Just like Microblading we will go over pigment choices that fit your skin color best and with Ombre you will achieve a 3D shaded affect that will give you definition and depth to your brows.

Some clients like to have a combination of microblading with ombre shading so you will have hair like texture, definition and density in your brow with the combining the two techniques.   We will go over both options with you during your appointment on what is best for you with the look you are trying to achieve.

Ombre works well with clients who have suffered total hair loss in the brow area caused by cancer, alopecia, etc. to achieve a more realistic looking brow.  This combination also works the best for all skin types, even oily skin which can cause issues with pigment retention when just using the microblading technique.

Touch up should be performed within the four to six weeks after the healing process and additional touch ups can performed on the brows as needed.  Retention will also depend on your lifestyle, health conditions, skin type and sun exposure.
